Your Journey
2 Days ScheduleThe Road to the Seven Lakes
An exciting day awaits you, filled with mountains, picturesque lakes, green landscapes and stops at places with truly delicious food. 10 hrs. 1. Meeting guests Our guide and driver will meet you directly at your accommodation in Dushanbe, ensuring your journey begins as comfortably and smoothly as possible. 10 min. 2. The road to the city of Penjikent From the moment we leave Dushanbe, we head northwest, gradually leaving the urban rhythms behind and immersing ourselves in the mountains. The road passes through picturesque passes and green valleys, with views of majestic mountain ranges on both sides. The journey to the city takes about 4 hours (220 km). Along the way, we'll make several photo stops to capture the beauty of the mountains, rivers, and green meadows, enjoy the fresh air, and simply take in the atmosphere of a true journey. 240 min. 3. Lunch For lunch we will stop at one of the national restaurants, where they cook delicious meat and aromatic traditional soups. 60 min. 4. Lake Michgon Next, we'll head to the first lake, Michgon ("eyelash"). It's located 37 km from the city of Penjikent, and the journey takes about 1 hour and 20 minutes. The lake is surrounded by rocky mountains, creating a contrast between the rugged landscape and the calm surface of the water. Thanks to its accessibility, this is where you begin your exploration of the Seven Lakes and form your first impression of the beauty of this place. 80 min. 5. Lake Soya Lake Soya is located near Michgon and offers a more tranquil and secluded atmosphere. Its name translates as "shadow," reflecting the unique nature of the area—the lake is often overshadowed by the surrounding mountains. 20 min. 6. Lake Khushyor Khushyor is considered one of the most picturesque lakes in the Seven Lakes chain. Its water is distinguished by a rich blue hue that changes depending on the light and weather. 20 min. 7. Lake Nofin Nofin is renowned for its clear, soft turquoise water and tranquil atmosphere. Situated among rugged cliffs and verdant slopes, the lake creates a contrast between the wild nature and the tranquil surface of the water, making it an ideal spot for relaxation and photography. 20 min. 8. Lake Khurdak Khurdak is the coziest of the lakes: compact, quiet, and very close to the road. 20 min. 9. Lake Marguzor Marguzor is one of the largest and most impressive lakes in the entire chain. Here, the landscape becomes more expansive: a wide expanse of water, an open mountain panorama, and a sense of nature unfolding in all its glory. 20 min. 10. Overnight at а guest house We will stay at a hotel on the shore of the sixth lake, where we will have a comfortable rest and the opportunity to enjoy the silence and beauty of the mountain nature.
Return to Dushanbe
1. Seventh Lake (Hazorchashma) Option 1 If the road is in good condition and our car can pass, we'll drive from the beginning to the end of Lake Six by car. Then we'll walk about 2 km, which will take approximately 30-40 minutes each way. This will take us to Lake Seven, where we'll have 60-80 minutes to rest, swim, and take photos. Afterwards, we'll return by the same route. Option 2 If the road is impassable, we'll hike approximately 6-7 km from Lakes Six to Seven. The walk each way will take approximately 1.5-2 hours. Upon arrival, we'll have time to rest at Lake Seven, after which we'll return the same way. 240 min. 2. Lunch The journey from Lake Six to the main road takes about two hours.
